Macchi
Hello!
My name is Paula Macchi, a proud LA transplant originally from Miami, Florida.
A little about me, I actually grew up in a lively bilingual household, packed to the brim with relatives who frequently visited from Argentina (I credit them for giving me a flair for the dramatic). I then refined that flair into a craft at Florida International University, where they taught me several acting techniques, including: Meisner, Linklater, and Chekhov. After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre, I graduated in 2018.

Originally, I started out in theater, working mostly in South Florida. Some of the roles I've played include Lysistrata from Lysistrata, Agnes from She Kills Monsters, and Dr. Armstrong from And Then There Were None. My favorite shows to act in have always been children’s shows – the kids always bring so much energy! In South Florida, I often toured with Fantasy Theatre Factory (Florida's longest-running children's theatre), and more recently I performed in my first Rockefeller Production (The Very Hungry Caterpillar in LA at the El Portal Theater).
While I love theatre, my true passion lies in performing in front of the camera (it’s not just because it pays better, I swear!). I draw inspiration from the careers of Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, and Sophie Turner. Some of my work includes Nemesis (on Amazon Prime) and Single, Taken, Other (on Tubi). The types I’m often called in for include the Wronged Woman, the Love Interest, the Girl Next Door, the Funny/Dumb Friend, and my favorite, the Receptionist – mean, helpful, gossipy, you name it! To date, the most interesting role I’ve played is the ‘Annoying Pad’ for SABA’s national feminine pad commercial campaign.
When I'm not acting, I love playing video games. I'm a big fan of open world gaming with consequence-based decision making. Some of my favorite games include Dragon Age Inquisition, Breath of the Wild, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Super Mario World. I’ve also been illustrating a children’s book that my husband wrote, which will be released just in time for Christmas.
As always, thank you for your continued support! I look forward to seeing what this journey has in store.
