My name is Paula Macchi. I'm a Miami native, born and raised. I grew up in a bilingual household packed to the brim with relatives who would always be visiting from Argentina. I credit them with giving me a flair for the dramatic.
A flair that I refined into a craft at Florida International University's Theatre Program. While I was there, I studied several acting techniques, including Meisner, Linklater, and Chekhov. I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Performing Arts.
Since then, I've been active in the South Florida Theatre Scene. Some of the roles I've played include Lysistrata from Lysistrata, Ronette from Little Shop of Horrors, Agnes from She Kills
Monsters, and Dr. Armstrong from And Then There were None. I've even gotten the opportunity to act in several children's theatre shows! I've been in touring productions produced by Fantasy Theatre Factory (Florida's longest-running children's theatre) and an interactive live theatre show produced by Warner Brothers.
Some of my types include the Girl Next Door, the Mean Girl, the Leading Lady, and the Damsel in Distress. I draw inspiration from the careers of Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, and Sophie Turner.
When I'm not acting, I love swimming and learning new tricks with my jump rope. If I could, I would spend all of my time outside but unfortunately, the weather can be pretty unpredictable in Miami. When that happens, you can find me playing video games or cooking with my grandmother.
As always, thank you for your continued support! I look forward to seeing what this journey has in store.
